Hi everyone, my name is Thanh Truc, and I'm currently a Master's Student in Translational Medicine at Taipei Medical University. I had the chance to come to Tsukuba University for a short one-week Sakura Science Plan (SSP) Exchange Program in the spring of 2015, when I was in my second year of medical school. I consider this valuable opportunity as the first door to my following international slots: a 4-week clinical rotation in Sydney in 2017, and now a 2-year Master Program in Taipei, all with scholarship. I was lucky to have made acquaintances with people from very diverse nations, backgrounds and professionals; all of whom inspired me to pursue a career as a physician-scientist.

My reunion party with the professors, alumni and students from Tsukuba University at Ho Chi Minh City at the end of 2019 was filled with familiar and new faces, nostalgia and exciting news. I am deeply grateful to Sakura Science Plan and Tsukuba University for their overwhelming philanthropy and warm welcome, which will leave me with an ever-lasting beautiful impression, and I'm very proud to be part of the SSP big circle of mentors, students, alumni and staff.
