Hi, my name is Sudhansu Kumar and I am an alumni of SAKURA Science Club and visited Japan in July 2023. The experience there taught me a lot of new values. Most especially the friendship. I loved Kiyomizu-dera temple and the fountain, Kinkakuji Golden Pavilion, Osaka and Kyoto University, Riken Centre of Fugaku Supercomputer and the Horikawa Municipality High School. I made friends for lifetime and even talk to them today and have also learn some Japanese. There were other student groups from other countries with us too which gave us a lot more time to acknowledge and learn about their cultures. After returning from Japan, there were loads of opportunities that came my way. I hosted and was anchor of ABSS (All India Education Conference) 2023 on July 29th in front of Hon'ble Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi and thousands of other dignitaries such as Ministers, Commissioners, Community Leaders, etc. PM Modi also patted on my shoulder backstage and appreciated the anchorship. Later on December 15th, I anchored at another event where Hon'ble Education Minister of India was the chief guest. I also got the opportunity to become a facilitator/ambassador at Vivekananda Institute of Values and guide hundreds of students all over India with moral values and on a path to truth.
At the end, SAKURA Science Program gave me a perspective of other side of the worlds which has ever since helped me in understanding and adapting to challenges of my life with a more open mind. I have been given opportunities and feats that possesses an infinite worth, all possible because of SAKURA Program.
