How did Sakura Science Plan play a role in your study / research in Japan?
I would like to say that it is really lucky for me to get supported by Sakura Science Program. With the program, I got the chance to come to Japan. And also I got a general picture of the life in Japan, especially the related research in Hokkaido University during the journey. Actually, this scholarship has helped me to decide to come to Japan continuing my study. I might still hesitate whether to come to Japan or not at that time without Sakura Plan. In a word, thanks to Sakura Science Plan, I am really grateful.
Please describe your comments freely related to your life in Japan.
I really like the life here. Maybe most people would say that they like a place due to the freshness. Of course, this might be one reason for me, it is indeed a novel experience as a foreigner. However, this will not last long and the main reason why I love the life here is not just this. The students here are warmhearted, although sometimes it is hard to communicate well with them, but just seeing their effort I felt warm. Besides, professor is very kind as I knew before, he helps me a lot on details and I am really grateful. Nevertheless, problems also exist. As I just know a little Japanese and English is not both of our first language, deep communication is not easy. And people here is so polite to others, sometimes just being too polite, like distance always exists between people.

To those who may join the short-visit program, first, congratulation to you to get the support. This is really a good opportunity to have a better understanding of the life in foreign country and in the meanwhile to broaden your horizon. Second, I recommend you to notice the lifestyle, the habit of the local people and try to understand the differences by talking to your supervior or senior, not just enjoying the scenery during your stay in Japan. Last but not the least, you have to behave yourself because you are on behalf your country in some aspect, so it is better to learn some basic Japanese manners and some useful local language before you come. Hope you have a wonderful time in Japan.
