How did Sakura Science Plan play a role in your study / research in Japan?

Sakura Science Plan provides a platform to foreign students who are willing to make a cooperation with Japan. In 2016, I got the chance to attend this plan with Professor Makoto Inoue in Niigata University. It's my first time to join a national project. Due to the Taiwanese aging population, it is going to be similar with Japan. There will be some clinical problems that can be learned. Therefore, it's a good opportunity for me to be a short time exchange student and learn form Prof. Inoue who is a pioneer of dysphagia. In this project, we can directly realize how to deal with the patient with dysphagia especially from the dental field. After coming back, this experience totally affected us a lot, it changed the direction of our future study and also promoted collaboration even more.

It was a great opportunity to see the different culture and attitude while they are working or studying. The most important is you will meet a lot friends here. They are kindly for everything. This project is very fruitful, you definitely learn something back.
