How did Sakura Science Plan play a role in your study / research in Japan?

Joining Sakura Science program gave me a chance to see how Japan's national health insurance system works and how medical and dental staffs in Japan provide treatment corresponding to the health insurance system. I was especially interested in those who have problems with swallowing, which is my field of interest. I also had a chance to see how dental school of Niigata University provides clinical traning and types of research to graduate students including physiological studies in humans and animals. All the equipment and materials used for clinical training and researches are very interesting and practical. Moreover, I also experienced many impressive Japanese culture and had very good memories in Niigata. Therefore, I decided to continue my education for PhD in Niigata University.

Please describe your comments freely related to your life in Japan.

All friends and professors are very kind here even though I am not so fluent in understanding Japanese. Food is good and healthy. Transportation is also quite convenient. The best thing I experienced since I moved here is people's punctuality.
