How did Sakura Science Plan play a role in your study / research in Japan?

Sakura Science was a good chance. The program taught by Professor Hiroto Mastsuura made me interested in plasma. Plasma can kill E-coli. Skills or knowledge regarding plasma is very important for using it in the present. After I finished the Sakura Science exchange program and came back to Laos, I have been so interested in it that I would like to research about waste water treatment using plasma. I had seen many ways to solve water pollution such as using chemicals or radiation, but did not know how to use plasma for solving waste water issues and that was very interesting to know. Lastly, I would like to express my sincere thanks to Sakura Science.

Please describe your comments freely related to your life in Japan.

When I arrived in Japan or especially Osaka, my supervisor Professor Hiroto Mastsuura and other professors welcomed me very kindly and warmly. I like Japan because the people are very friendly yet polite. In my stay in Osaka there are many things I love, such as studying Japanese, learning about radiation and plasma from many professors. I can acquire the skill or knowledge from them. I have a good chance to make many friends in the class especially, Japanese and Vietnamese students. We exchange about culture or language and that is the best way for me to learn and improve Japanese language. It also helps to create great relationship with friends. I am also very happy to describe food in Osaka. The food tastes good. Besides enjoying food, I can learn or know Japanese culture at the same time. Lastly, I want to mention the MEXT scholarship which supports me to have the chance to study in Master’s course at Osaka Prefecture University (OPU).

Please describe your message to people who are going to participate in this program.

This program is very good for me. I can learn many things from this program. I can obtain skills and knowledge from experiments. What I learnt made me interested in the subject even more. Japan is a country with very high science and technology achievements in the world. I can say that the people who join this program are lucky to have a good chance to learn many things from Japanese people. If you are interested, you can make it a point of connection for when you plan to further your research in the future. In addition to the kindness of Japanese people, there are many beautiful places to visit there.
