How did Sakura Science Plan play a role in your study / research in Japan?
Sakura Science Plan gave me a big picture about Japanese culture, especially on the educational environment and a link to continue my study in the future. This program gave me a incredible experience in Maezono Laboratory, JAIST. Here, I got new insights about the computational material method, some basic understanding about parallel computation which is very useful in my undergraduate's final project, and I also obtained some overseas experience. Hopefully, I can relate what I had learned in JAIST with my studies in my undergraduate program. That's why I am very interested in continuing my study in Japan. So, I could say that Sakura Science Program had made this connection for me to continue my higher education.
Please describe your comments freely related to your life in Japan.
My life in Japan was very good, there was no big problem for me to stay here. Although I learned a lot of new information, my background allowed me to understand Maezono-sensei's teachings without much trouble. The professor is also very kind and always tries his best to teach the lesson. I received not only theoretical studies, but also practical skills like how to do simulations using computational software. The environment here is very supportive: the laboratory members are so friendly and helpful, and also the laboratory provides excellent tools for computing. Japan also provides me with a scholarship which means I don't need to find other resources for my life here. I'm convinced that Japan is the best place for pursuing higher education because of its advanced technology, scholarship, and beautiful supporting culture.
