How did Sakura Science Plan play a role in your study / research in Japan?

Last year's autumn, I joined Sakura Science under the theme of natural disaster. It was my first time in Japan. Sakura Science's staff supported me in many sides. They taught me how to use the trains, taught about basic manners and also gave advices in using Japanese and more. And about natural disaster, I could learn a lot of things about it. Like cause of natural disaster, how to prevent it. I could also go to disaster-struck locations and talked with people who have faced actual disaster.

It was very good experience and made me interested in natural disaster. Especially, disaster prevention. It is very useful in Japan. Unfortunately, in my internship program I can not do a project related to natural disaster. But to join Sakura Science made my life in Japan easier after I came back here again. Also Sakura Science made me feel Japan is an attractive place.

Now, I receive scholarship and chance from Japan-Thailand Economic Cooperation Society to join internship program with support of expenses. I studying in Major of IT, so my work is related with development in IT field, about IoT. It is a field that develops new technology to help people live easier. I wish I could develop some technology not for normal people only, but also for disabled people, elderly people or for disaster victims.

Please describe your message to people who are going to participate in this program.

I believe chance and inspiration are very important factors that changes someone in better way. Sakura Science gave me that chance and I changed it to inspiration. I could experience many special things. One of these experiences that inspired me most is meeting with victims from the 3.11 Earthquake. They taught me to never give up trying and to think about doing something for others. Open your mind, learn and feel. Change this chance to inspiration. Inspiration will be your power.
