How did Sakura Science Plan play a role in your study / research in Japan?

The Sakura Science Plan give the opportunities to my student come to Japan and visit the research laboratory in the university (Nagoya Institute of Technology). The student learned about the japanese universities research culture and japanese universities student culture which quite different in Malaysia. Moreover, student do really understand that students in Japan stay up until late night in the laboratory to finish their research. In contrast, Malaysians student were not allowed to stay in the laboratory even doing simple research characterization. Previously, student also learned how to conduct the sample preparation in the Nagoya Institute of Technology. This trainning was very useful because in Malaysia mainly all the sample preparation were done by the university technician staff. Student obtained precious experience in their research study on doing their own sample preparation.

Please describe your comments freely related to your life in Japan.

In Japan, the laboratory culture is very good environment to do research work. Most of the laboratory have their own research equipment and instriments which students are capable to conduct research by the direct supervision from professor and their senior. Moreover, japan universities also provide many scholarships and internships (sakura science) to their students. This is very positive environment for student to study in japan universities.

I hope that more student from other country visit to japan universities as good exposure in their life. It is good opportunity to experience and see the high end technologies and culture of Japanese Universities.
