Hello all! Time flies and it has been 9 fruitful years serving as coordinator, the ex-President and currently as the Chief Advisor for Sakura Science Club Japan. This certainly brought back a lot of memories of my first exposure to Sakura Science back in 2014 when I had the opportunity to explore various medical companies, government agencies and Japanese universities. Special thanks to Kyushu University, Professor Sugiyama Daisuke and Sakura Science for the opportunity and exposure that provide me the opportunity to learn about Japan.

As one of the founding members of SSC Japan, we have come a long way from where we first started. Today, with all the resources we obtained from JST and JISTEC staff, together with collaborative efforts from coordinators and members all around the world, we continue to grow in numbers and manage to see more and more engaging activities that connects us together. It is an utmost achievement to see more and more involvement of industry, academia and how new networks and collaborative efforts in STEM are being formed every minute as we speak!

Lastly, I would like to take this opportunity to extend my most sincere wishes to all our members. Wishing that everyone is able to benefit from our big family network and all the best with great advancement in your career and the path you chose!
