I am filled with immense pride to be a student of the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City (IUH) in Vietnam. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to both Tokyo University of Technology (TUT) and my home university for granting me the opportunity to participate in the Sakura Science Program (SSP). Japan has been an incredibly beautiful first step into a distant land for me. It offered a sense of familiarity akin to Vietnam, yet the blend of traditional and modern cultures left me in awe with its striking impressions.
The warm reception I received from the esteemed professors and students at Tokyo University of Technology made me feel at home in a foreign place. Their kindness was truly remarkable, and I hold a deep affection for them. My journey took me to famous sites like Shibuya, Sensoji Temple, the old streets of Asakusa, and Odawara Castle. Moreover, I had the chance to visit places of advanced technology such as JAXA, TUT’s laboratories, and companies like TechLab, Lush Japan, and Tobe Shoji, which were all extraordinary experiences.
The local cuisine, with its delicate flavors of Ramen, Soba, and Sashimi, has left a lasting impression on me. It has been over several months, yet, I cannot forget those moments. I often find myself distracted, reminiscing about those wonderful experiences in Japan. The trip has profoundly influenced me and spurred my interest in learning Japanese, as I hope to return to this beautiful country someday in the future. Thank you once again for this life-changing experience with warm regards and cherished memories.
