My name is Muhammad Jodi Alfayed. I’m from Medan City, Indonesia. I am in the last semester student from Universitas Sumatera Utara (The University of North Sumatra). It feels good to be part of the Sakura Science Exchange Program: new friends; new experiences; learning foreign cultures, and so forth. It is very wonderful. I felt like I was over the moon. This photo was taken from the rooftop of National Institute for Environmental Studies (NIES), Bio-Eco Engineering Research Laboratory (Miho Village, Ibaraki Prefecture). We learned about greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from the wastewater treatment system, Johkasou. Dr. Yoshitaka Ebie Sensei explained to us. We also discussed about Johkasou that we will be able to use in Medan (Research Stage). Many places we have visited, one of them is the office of Mitsubishi Chemical Holdings company…. it is one of the most famous companies in the world. Again and again..., I was very lucky. When I was in Japan, I was very interested in seeing Japanese culture and politeness. The people are very obedient to the rules and they really appreciate “the time”. So, I learned from them and I wish everyone in the world would be like them.
