How did Sakura Science Plan play a role in your study / research in Japan?
The most important basis for study success is the careful choice of what to study and its environment. As a research student, laboratory environments are extremely important for me to keep my focus and reach maximum effectiveness in my research. Sakura Science Plan (SSP) exposed me to the environment of laboratories and I personally feel that it really suited my study and research needs. The program not only exposed the delegation to the university environment, but also to cultural aspects of Japanese people which is truly unique.
Please describe your comments freely related to your life in Japan.
Living in Kumamoto, Japan as a Doctoral student is absolutely a wonderful experience. Currently I am happy with my work-life balance. As a Monbukagakusho (MEXT) scholarship recipient, my economical condition is very stable, especially when you live in a prefecture with average population density. This is the place where I personally think has a balance in its nature and city lifestyle. Not to forget that all my Japanese lab-mate and professors are indeed very cheerful and helpful.
Please describe your message to people who are going to participate in this program.
Studying abroad, especially in Japan adds another level to your living experience. If you have an opportunity to join Sakura Science Plan (SSP) or any other related program to Japan, just please don't miss it. It would be a wonderful life experience especially when you want to gain something different and valuable in your life.
