How did Sakura Science Plan play a role in your study / research in Japan?
After joining the Sakura Science Plan (SSP) program, I got motivated to become a scientist. I had chances to make more friends from other countries and now I have more knowledge about photochemistry after the summer school. That was the first time I could learn about equipments such as LFP, fluorescence measurement, fluorescence lifetime, etc... It also gave me a chance to meet Professor Manabu Abe , my current supervisor. He is the reason I chose Japan for my study abroad.
Please describe your comments freely related to your life in Japan.
My supervisor is so kind. He always follows my research and gives me advice when I have a problem. I also receive the JASSO scholarship for one years and it gives me less hardship to cover my life in Japan. My lab-mates are so nice, too. With me, they often share about life in Japan and help me study Japanese.
Please describe your message to people who are going to participate in this program.
This is a good chance for you to approach science in Japan and improve your knowledge. You could have more international friends and have more motivation to become a scientist.
