How did Sakura Science Plan play a role in your study / research in Japan?

Sakura Science program gave me a new choice to study in Japan as graduate student. This program made me a chance to get in contact with Professors Kawakatsu and Takeuchi, who are the supervisors of me at ERI (Earthquake Research Institute) and University of Tokyo. Also through Sakura Program I was able to make relationship with graduate seniors in the institute that I am participating now.

Please describe your comments freely related to your life in Japan.

Since I made friends during Sakura program, they were big help for me to make a good life start here. I am participating in University of Tokyo as GSGC (Globa Science Graduate Course) scholarship recipient, but the scholarship was not enough to cover high housing fee in Tokyo. I hope to get fee exemption from the University since scholarship is not enough to cover life expenses and all tuition, admission fee…

Sakura Program is good to make new relationships in Japan. If you wish to study further in Japan or do research projects with people in Japan, it is a good choice to participate in the program.
