My name is Shreya Gupta, and I am a proud alumna of the Sakura Science Exchange Program (SSP). Participating in the cultural exchange program between India and Japan has been a transformative experience, blending two rich and distinct cultures into one memorable journey. This program was a turning point in my life, providing me with unparalleled exposure to cutting-edge research and technologies, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of my chosen field. Through hands-on experience, mentorship from leading experts, and collaboration with fellow passionate students, I developed critical skills that I continue to use in my career. I am excited about the possibilities and confident that the foundation laid by the SSP program will help me achieve my goals.

Some of the highlights of the program was visiting Kwansei Gakuin University, one of Japan's prestigious institution, was an honor. The beautiful campus, engaging professors, and hands-on experiments with hydrogen fuel cells were highlights. Presenting souvenirs from India to the professors and enjoying an evening with Indian cuisine added a personal touch to the trip.

At the Embassy Conference in Japan, I had the honor of meeting Mr. Sibi George, the Ambassador of India to Japan. Exploring Osaka and enjoying its vibrant food and culture made the journey even more memorable. Kyoto's timeless shrines and cultural festivals, like the Seiryu-e Dragon Festival, left me in awe of Japan's rich heritage.

The graduation ceremony, where I received my certificate of completion, marked the end of an enriching experience. This journey was about more than just traveling—it was about fulfilling a lifelong dream, embracing new opportunities, and making cherished memories.

I am deeply grateful for the experience and the chance to learn, grow, and connect in Japan.
