Hello everyone,

This is Vaishnavee Mugunthan, and I'm an Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) graduate. I'm originally from Tamil Nadu, India, and I had the incredible opportunity to participate in the SSP program in 2023, and it has significantly impacted my aspirations and future plans.

The SSP program was a truly transformative experience. It ignited and solidified my interest in working in Japan. Coming from India, the program provided invaluable insights into the Japanese tech landscape, giving me a much clearer understanding of the industry, its key players, and the cutting-edge technologies being developed there. Beyond the technical aspects, the SSP program also offered a deep dive into Japanese culture. Learning about the customs, traditions, and business etiquette was incredibly enriching and will undoubtedly be beneficial as I pursue my career goals in Japan. The program provided a holistic experience, preparing me not only professionally but also culturally for a potential future in Japan.

And a little about my current situation…
Thanks in part to the inspiration and knowledge I gained through SSP, I am now living and working in Japan! I'm currently employed at Teradyne, a semiconductor manufacturing company in Kumamoto. This experience has been fantastic so far, allowing me to apply my skills and learn even more about the Japanese tech industry firsthand.
