Being part of the SAKURA SCIENCE PROGRAM’s 10-day exchange program in Tokyo was an incredible experience. The workshop on photogrammetry and heritage conservation gave me hands-on exposure to techniques I hadn’t fully explored before. Learning from experts and working alongside other participants helped me see how photogrammetry can be a game-changer for documenting and preserving heritage.
Before this program, I had a basic understanding of photogrammetry, but now I feel much more confident using it in my work. The experience not only sharpened my technical skills but also gave me a fresh perspective on how advanced documentation methods can support heritage conservation efforts. On top of that, being in Japan and exchanging ideas with others from different backgrounds was inspiring.
I’m really grateful for the opportunity, and I highly recommend this program to anyone looking to expand their skills in heritage documentation. It was a thoughtful and enriching experience that has already made a difference in my work!
The program has opened my perspective on heritage and the digital era. It stressed on a crucial subject matter, especially for a heritage conservation student like me. After the exchange I am exploring the discipline and enhancing my professional and academic portfolio.
Thank you JST, SSP and SIT (Shibaura Institute of Technology).
