Dear Sakura Science Club,

My name is Huynh Ngoc Ngan. I’m currently a student at Can Tho University, Vietnam, and I feel lucky to have been given a chance to go on a study trip to Japan because of a program offered by SSP, Sakura Science Program.

Before my trip, my impression of Japan had always been a positive one, and my trip to Japan just reaffirmed it even more strongly. During my stay there, I was given a warm welcome by the professors and students at Kyoto Institute of Technology, and they made the experience a much more memorable one than it already was. I fell in love with everything there, from how clean and safe the city was, the wide variety of delicious cuisine, to the rich history of the culture and the friendly people. We got to visit a lot of places such as Kyoto Imperial Palace and Fushimi Inari Taisha and I couldn’t help being enthralled by such a unique experience of the culture and history there. Everything was also so made to be so convenient and accessible, such as the public transportation.

At Kyoto Institute of Technology, we got to learn about the various technology that inspired me in many ways, as well as the many projects that captured our attention. The experience was extremely informative and easy to understand at the same time, and getting familiar with the modern technology used there was eye-opening for me, how far it could go. It provided us with a lot of inspiration and got us interested in similar researches that many of us were considering getting in.

From the bottom of my heart, I thank Sakura Science Program for gracing us with this wonderful opportunity to visit a beautiful country like Japan, as well as the professors and students at Kyoto Institute of Technology for their hospitality. It made me highly consider studying abroad in Japan, and if someone ever asked me if they should seek an education there, my answer would be a definite yes.
