Greetings from National Polytechnic Institute of Cambodia.

Last summer, I had the opportunity to join the KIT Electronics Summer School Program 2023 at the Kyoto Institute of Technology. This experience has profoundly influenced my life and future goals.

From the moment I stepped into the program, I was surrounded by innovation and passion. The program was packed with activities that challenged and excited me. I had the chance to give a lecture to students from around the globe, sharing my knowledge and learning from them in return. One of the most memorable parts of the program was visiting the plasma laboratory. It was fascinating to see the experiments and equipment up close. This visit sparked a new interest in plasma technology and its applications.

I was also responsible for leading a group of four Cambodian students who were participating for the first time. It was inspiring to see their enthusiasm and to help them navigate through the program. Their fresh perspectives and eagerness to learn made the experience even more rewarding for me. The program expanded my understanding of electronics and highlighted the importance of international cooperation in science. I’ve seen how sharing ideas and working together can lead to amazing discoveries.

Now, I am more determined than ever to pursue a career in electronics. I am particularly interested in using technology to solve real-world problems. My dream is to create electronic solutions that are environmentally friendly and can improve people’s lives.

As I move forward, I carry with me the lessons and friendships I made at the KIT Electronics Summer School. I am grateful to the Sakura Science Program (SSP) for providing me with this incredible opportunity. It has indeed been a turning point in my life.

I hope my story encourages others to participate in programs like this. It’s a chance to learn, to grow, and to be part of a community that’s making a difference in the world.
