I am a former Ph.D. student at Nagasaki University, Japan, where I studied under the Monbukagakusho (MEXT) Scholarship Program. My major was Environmental Science, and I conducted my doctoral research under the supervision of Professor Hideki Nakayama.

In December 2024, I had the great honor of participating in the student exchange program between Can Tho University and Nagasaki University as the team leader, supported by the Sakura Science Program (SSP). This experience was truly meaningful and allowed me to gain a deeper understanding of my future research direction.

Currently, I am a lecturer at the Department of Environmental Science, College of Environment and Natural Resources, Can Tho University, Vietnam. My current research focuses on applied microbiology and biotechnology for environmental pollution mitigation, as well as issues related to agricultural and aquaculture ecosystems.

Looking forward, Professor Hideki Nakayama and I are developing collaborative research ideas in the field of biotechnology and applied microbiology, particularly focusing on the isolation and characterization of Halomonas strains adapted to the specific environmental conditions of the Mekong Delta, Vietnam. This research direction aims to explore the ecological potential of halophilic bacteria in sustainable environmental management.

The Alumni Network and Sakura Science Program have played an essential role in strengthening my professional connection with Professor Nakayama and broadening future research collaboration opportunities. I am deeply grateful to these programs for supporting young researchers and fostering international scientific exchange.

Through this valuable experience, I have gained not only academic insight but also a stronger commitment to applying scientific knowledge for sustainable development in Vietnam and beyond.
