My name is Ratthaphoom Songkrow, and I am currently a Bachelor’s degree student in Chemical Engineering at King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL). Participating in the Sakura Science Program (SSP) was a meaningful academic and cultural experience for me. The program allowed me to engage in scientific learning while interacting with students from different educational backgrounds.

One of the most valuable parts of the program was working on a co-project with students from Ritsumeikan Senior High School. We exchanged ideas, discussed research approaches, and collaborated to solve problems together. This experience helped me improve my communication skills and understand the importance of teamwork in an international setting.

In addition, I built strong friendships with motivated open-minded peers. We supported one another and shared both academic and cultural experiences. SSP broadened my perspective, strengthened my confidence, and inspired me to continue pursuing science in a global context.
