My journey with Japan started through the Sakura Science Program (SSP), which I was fortunate to participate in twice—first in 2019 when I was in 9th standard, and again in 2023 during the final year of my college. Both experiences were unforgettable and played a key role in shaping the path I am on today.
Through the program, I had the opportunity to interact with people from different backgrounds, attend informative lectures, explore fascinating museums, and, of course, enjoy delicious Japanese food. These experiences sparked a deep interest in Japan—its culture, language, and technology. The warm hospitality and rich cultural exchanges during the program left a lasting impression on me and planted a dream to return to Japan one day.
Today, I am happy to share that I am working as a software developer at i Cubed Systems, an IT company based in Fukuoka, Japan. It feels like things have come full circle. Life here is going well—I’m constantly learning and growing, both professionally and personally. While I do miss my family and friends back home, the kindness of the people in Japan and the peaceful environment help me feel at home.
In my free time, I love exploring new places. I’ve visited beautiful spots like Dazaifu, Yanagawa, and Hiroshima. Each place tells its own story and reflects the charm of Japan. I look forward to visiting more regions and experiencing traditional Japanese festivals in the future.
One of my biggest hopes is to bring my parents and brother here someday—to show them the places I’ve visited and discover even more together. I want them to experience the beauty and calmness of Japan that I’ve come to love.
SSP was not just a short-term exchange; it was the beginning of a long and meaningful journey. I’ll always be grateful for that opportunity, which helped me find my passion and purpose in life.
