I am sincerely grateful for the opportunity to have participated in the Sakura Science Program (SSP) 2023, organized by the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST). This program allowed me to expand my knowledge, connect with researchers, and explore academic opportunities. It played a crucial role in helping me establish connections with professors, which ultimately led to securing a postgraduate opportunity in Japan.

Currently, I am pursuing postgraduate studies in medical sciences, focusing on research in hematological diseases and related fields. The Sakura Science Program played a pivotal role in connecting me with researchers and opportunities, opening doors to pursue this academic dream abroad.

In my home country, Peru, there are no formal alumni activities related to the Sakura Science Program. This is an invitation to all Peruvians who are part of the Sakura Science Club to join efforts in creating a local alumni network (contact me if you are interested, k3460290[at]kadai.jp).*
