My name is Lojain Taha, and I am a technology enthusiast from Egypt with a strong passion for artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, education, and youth leadership. My journey in technology started early through my studies at WE Applied Technology School, where I developed a strong foundation in Networking, Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, and Information Technology.

Participating in an international exchange program in Japan through the Sakura Science community was one of the most meaningful experiences of my academic journey. Being immersed in Japan’s educational and cultural environment gave me a new perspective on technology, innovation, teamwork, and international collaboration. Meeting students from different backgrounds and experiencing a different approach to learning made me more confident, open-minded, and motivated to continue developing myself.

The experience continued to influence me after I returned to Egypt. I became more interested in sharing knowledge and helping others learn. I began explaining Cybersecurity concepts to my classmates and helping them understand technical topics in a simpler and more practical way. This experience sparked my interest in teaching and showed me how much I enjoy turning what I learn into something others can benefit from.

Alongside my technical journey, I have also developed my leadership and community involvement. One of the experiences I am most proud of was serving as a Division Head, where I coordinated 24 teams and 5 facilitators during a two-week bootcamp. I was responsible for team coordination, participant placement, progress follow-up, and communication between teams and facilitators. This taught me how to take responsibility, solve problems, and help people work together toward a shared goal.

My interest in using technology to solve real-world problems also led me to work on Hakeem AI, an AI-based project focused on helping users better understand potential drug interactions and medication-related information. Working on the project allowed me to explore how Artificial Intelligence can be applied beyond the classroom to address practical problems and create meaningful impact.

Beyond technology and leadership, I have spent several years developing my skills in graphic design, creative communication, presentations, and social media. I enjoy combining technology with creativity and paying attention to the details that make an idea clear and meaningful. This balance between technical thinking and creative expression has become an important part of how I approach projects and communicate with others.

Currently, I am studying Artificial Intelligence at Cairo National University and am especially interested in the intersection between AI, Cybersecurity, and education. I hope to continue building meaningful projects, sharing what I learn through workshops and mentoring, and connecting with students and communities around the world.

My exchange experience taught me that an international opportunity does not end when you return home. What matters is what you bring back, share with others, and build from the experience. It gave me a broader perspective and encouraged me to become not only a learner, but also someone who shares, leads, and contributes.

I am sincerely grateful to JST and the entire SSC community for being such an inspiring part of my journey. This experience continues to motivate me to learn, contribute, and connect with others, and I truly hope to give back to the community and return to Japan one day.
