In August 2024, I was able to visit Japan through the Sakura Science Program (SSP), for a one-week exchange program at the University of Yamanashi. During my time here, I visited various labs to see the kind of research taking place. I was really impressed and decided to apply to do my Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering. The exchange program was really great for exposure to both the Japanese culture and innovative STEM research. It greatly influenced my decision to further my studies here. I am truly excited for what is to come!
