My name is Ngo Van Quyen, currently a PhD candidate at the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT), Vietnam. I often view life as a journey — one that should not be rushed but embraced fully with curiosity and an open mind. Participating in international programs and alumni networks has been among the most enriching aspects of my journey — helping me grow not only as a scholar, but also as a global citizen. Through experiences like the Sakura Science Program (SSP), I have gained invaluable insights, built lasting connections, and developed a deeper appreciation for the role of collaboration and cultural exchange in today’s interconnected world.
As a PhD candidate at PTIT, my research focuses on leveraging AI and data analytics to address real-world challenges — ranging from smart agriculture and disaster management to enhancing the efficiency of communication networks.
Beyond technical expertise, I am deeply passionate about fostering international collaboration in science and education. SSP has demonstrated to me that building bridges across cultures and disciplines can lead to transformative outcomes for individuals, institutions, and societies.
Looking ahead, I aim to contribute more actively to Vietnam–Japan collaborations, as well as to broader global partnerships that promote innovation, knowledge exchange, and positive social impact. I hope to further integrate my technical work with cross-cultural collaboration initiatives that advance both academic and societal goals.
In closing, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to SSP and JST for offering me the opportunity to explore new worlds and to grow in ways I could not have imagined. Thank you for being part of this extraordinary journey.
