次世代で活躍するグローバルエンジニア育成のための科学技術体験プログラム
北九州工業高等専門学校からの報告
2019年11月11日～11月17日の7日間、さくらサイエンスプログラム（A.科学技術体験コース）でインドネシアガジャマダ大学専門学校から１０名の学生（工学部機械、電気・電子、情報学科）と引率教員1名の計１１名を北九州工業高等専門学校に招き、北九州市の環境管理や地元企業の最新技術を学ぶ、訪日学習交流を実施しました。
グローバル化に対応した専門知識を修得したエンジニアが求められていることから、本プログラムではアジア地域の海外協定校の学生に対して、日本のものづくり技術を活用し、次世代で活躍する学生のモチベーションの昂揚を図ることを目的としました。
初日
オリエンテーション終了後、ロボコンクラブを見学し、本校の学生達と楽しく交流しました。
2日目
学内施設及びPBL型授業の見学、及びロボットキットの組み立てを行いました。招へい者は積極的に授業に参加し、本校の学生たちと交流しながら、楽しんで実習型授業を体験しました。
３日目
北九州市の環境施設である北九州エコタウンセンター、北九州次世代エネルギーパークを視察しました。学生たちは、環境管理への取り組みやエコ事業の設備、技術に向けた取り組みの報告に熱心に耳を傾け、積極的に質問をする姿も見られました。
４日目
地元企業である三島光産株式会社に協力いただき、製造現場・施設・設備視察及び一日就業体験を実施しました。学生たちは日本企業の製造に関する取り組みや施設、装置、技術に非常に高い関心を持ち、機会があれば留学、就職等、改めて日本で科学技術を学びたいとの多くの意見が寄せられました。
５日目
環境ミュージアム及び北九州イノベーションギャラリーを視察しました。北九州イノベーションギャラリーでは、モノづくりに関わる高度技能者「北九州マイスター」指導の下の加工体験、世界遺産である「官営八幡製鉄所」見学を通し、北九州のモノづくりの歴史について、深く理解しました。
夕方に開催した送別会では、本校の学生たちに積極的に話かけ、歌を歌い、写真撮影や連絡先の交換など深く交流を行いました。学生達はすっかり打ち解け、最後まで別れを惜しんでいました。
６日目
３次元CADソフト（SolidWorks）による設計演習及び本校の教育カリキュラムの説明を行い、学生たちの日本での学習意欲が更に高まりました。
７日目
帰国日。福岡空港まで見送りを行いました。

This program needs to be known by many college students. It gives us not only academics knowledge, but also the Japanese Culture which is very discipline especially in time management. The duration is too short for understanding things, so it would be better if the program is extended in the future. But overall, this exchange program is `to good to be true`. Unlike another international program I`ve been visited previously, this exchange program`s really well-organized (The ticket flight, place to stay, and tickets). Thank you very much!
Here I met many kind people. They are so welcome to us even we are from another country. They teach me about Japanese culture especially discipline. I got new friends here. And I really impressive with the Kitakyushu city. Because as an industrial city which is many factories in here but Kitakyushu (government, citizen, and the company) can keep their nature clean and green. I have a really great week here even the temperature was really low, but I can enjoy every second here. Here I learn new Japanese word such as how to introduce myself, asking for toilet, and the other simple word.
This Student Exchange Program gives me new experience, I can know many advanced technologies that in Indonesia does not has. I also amaze to NIT Kitakyushu‘s laboratory , because the condition of your laboratory is very clean and organized so well. I also meet many new Japanese friends, they are so friendly and kind to me, even sometimes we get a trouble with the language, but it is not a problem to us to share many stories one each other. I would like to say thank you to all participants who has helped us. I will not forget all this moment and I wish I can get back here someday. Thank You.
