JST is happy to report that the 5th SSC Japan Event, "Research Life in Japan" concluded successfully on July 23, with participants (online) from various parts of the world:
Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, United Kingdom, and Vietnam.
Once again, we would like to thank our panelists who offered to take part in the discussion session (Part 1).
Being a hybrid event, many traveled far to be at the venue to share their experiences despite their busy academic life.
Under Mr. Johannes Nicolaus Wibisana’s efficient facilitation, we hope the session helped to provide hints about seeking your degree or doing research in Japan.
Moreover, JST would like to deeply thank Dr. Furihata, Prof. Inoue, and Dr. Fukuhara for collaborating with Sakura Science Club.
It was an enlightening opportunity to know about the latest developments in photodynamic medicine. Without Dr. Lai Hung Wei's thoughtful coordination with CPDM (Center for Photodynamic Medicine) and Kochi Medical School, the second session (Part 2) could not have materialized. Thank you, Dr. Lai for building the event concept and taking on the role of moderator.
Some SSC members also offered to help out, by creating the event poster and by standing in as assistive staff for Zoom technicalities and we truly appreciate their dedication.
Until we meet again, please stay safe and stay tuned!
