On 22 March 2020, India observed a 14-hour voluntary public curfew at the insistence of our respected Prime minister. The government followed it up with lockdowns in 75 districts where COVID cases had occurred as well as all major cities. Further, on 24 March, the prime minister ordered a nationwide lockdown for 21 days. Government of India is taking all necessary steps to ensure complete lockdown without affecting essential services. We are prepared well to face the challenge and threat posed by the growing pandemic of COVID-19 with active support of the people of India. Peoples in India are staying at home in the lockdown period to save our life and our nation. Social distancing is necessarily followed by all the peoples.
Further steps are yet to be announced by government of India. Hope we can be able to contain the spread of the Virus in our country. We pray to the almighty for the complete elimination of this virus from the globe.
