This is really an amazing program for Chinese students to take a closer look at Japan. Nowadays most Chinese students choose to visit or study in the western countries, namely USA, UK, Canada, France, Germany etc., so they don't know much about our neighbor which is also a highly advanced country in many fields. Geographically, Japan is quite close to China, which means it is more convenient for Chinese students to go to Japan for exchanges in culture, science, sports and so on.

Culturally speaking, it's easier for Chinese students to get used to Japanese culture than western cultures since we are all East Asians, our looks are similar to each other and there are a lot of KANJI in Japanese language. This exchange program offers Chinese students a great opportunity to get to know Japan's cutting-edge technologies which are beneficial for China's as well as the whole Asia's further development. We are inspired after the experience they have in Japan for this program. I hope JST will keep doing this program and if possible invest more in it. Many thanks to JST and SIT!
